San Diego

Ahhhhhhhh! Just another day at the beach, for Christmas. After making it to the beach, we discover neither of us brought a camera! We'll make do with a cell phone camera.

Check out the view from our balcony... just click on any picture to zoom in!

You can check out more of our beach and our big beach toys, like the wave machine below. Click on the picture below and point a live camera up and down the beach or at the wave machine, where big kids (and little kids) can practice surfing!!!

If the wave machine isn't being used or it's dark outside, check out the action below...

More pix from Mission Beach!

Kids love a carousel...

Even big kids...

And bumper cars...
And whatever floats your boat...

Of course, what's a beach without a few rules...

On our way to Coronado Bay and the big kids get hungry...

Coronado Bay has a lot to offer, like boats...old boats and new boats...

aircraft carriers...and kisses...

and more kisses...

Friends to hang out with...

Nightlife at landmark hotels (here, the historic Hotel Coronado)...

And plenty of marinas, that include home bases for sport fishing trips...

Tired, yet? Then, go home to your condo on the beach and play Pitch! (fyi, this is NOT a good hand...well, maybe a three bid for Jim & Kelly!)

It's the holidays and freeway traffic is light, so we're off to Disneyland...

the Magic Kingdom's castle, at night...

a parading Christmas tree...

a riverboat glides by, filled with generations of Disney characters...

reminding us that it is a small world...
and this is STILL a sad hand in Pitch...

Monday

Chicago Live in Seattle, Aug. 24, 2008

What a birthday present! These guys really put on a show, and the Chateau Ste. Michelle security staff took pity on us and let us go up and dance at the foot of the stage...the band members played right to us!
